The Green Team is an initiative of the institution, comprised of TEI professors and students to promote sports and environmental conservation. Races of 5 to 10 kilometers are held through the tropical forests of the Isthmus region in the city of Santo Domingo Tehuantepec, Oaxaca. These races are held at least once a month and are open to the entire community. These events are attended by local residents and foreigners from Canada, the United States, and Europe.
